  1. Missing search items

Why is it that sometimes when I do a search I can't find the item in the results?

For instance I searched for the the phrase "Nantwich Union" in 1825 and got this result:
    https://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/search/results/1820-01-01/1829-12-31?basicsearch=%22nantwich%20union%22%20&phrasesearch=nantwich%20union&exactsearch=false&retrievecountrycounts=false&sortorder=score

but the term Nantwich Union doesn't appear in the result:

  3. Improve transcriptions

I cannot copy and paste articles so I have to use the transcription instead. I cannot understand how, in this day and age, the transcription can be so ridiculously incorrect.

  4. I have been trying to narrow my search of publications of 'The Times' newspaper,

Request for assistance!!!! How do I persuade your search engine to a) Open up the section or narrow my search to the 'Times' newspaper?
And b) if I press the 'Help' button, why doesn't it direct me to a 'Help' section, rather than a 'Feedback' section?

  7. Since your site maintenance yesterday, I cannot order my results to earliest first

Since your site maintenance yesterday afternoon, I cannot order results to earliest first, which is frustrating.
If I try, the no results page appears.

  9. Please can we have the Sutton Coldfield News and Observer digitised.

Besides the two main local newspapers in Sutton Coldfield there was a short lived Streetly News.

  10. oswestry & border counties advertizer

I've made this plea before, some while ago, but it would be really good if the project could increase the number of years digitised for the Oswestry Advertizer from the present eight. That number has remained unchanged for quite a time. The Advertizer is a valuable resource for those researching the history of Oswestry, and of parts of mid and north-east Wales.

  11. Hawick News and Hawick Express

Any specific explanation available as to why, for both the Hawick News and the Hawick Express, the years 1945-1949 are not in the archive. Years both before and after that period are fully covered. Given that these were separate publications it seems an odd coincidence.
