"View" box does not display on small / mobile screens
Millions - especially the young - are accessing sites like yours via smartphone. And your site is already ALMOST there - but not quite! Having found the articles I wanted, I was blocked at the very last stage - clicking on "view" - because the box mentioning credits was too large to fit on the screen of my phone, could not be modified, and made it impossible for me to click further (I am using Safari on an iPhone 6). So close! What about modifying that box so that it is smartphone-compatible? Thanks!

A Timeline, simple base line of world/UK event dates occurring at, or near the atricle date
Place the articles in some kind of timeline, a simple baseline graph idea would help I suppose. I don't have a plan but whenever I find an article concerning an ancestor it would help to picture the time he was living in - who was on the throne, world action concerning Britain etc.

Can you give us a little more detail here? Which box, which corner of which page?

Subscription renewals
A decent way of renewing subscriptions, as you have a failed and useless system at present.

The idea of making the number of days left on your subscription is a great one and we will add it to the list. Val – when a subscription renewal fails, it is usually because the card you used has expired and you’ve been issued with a new one. Get in touch with Customer Support for help adding a new card. We will look at adding a facility for you to add a new card yourself in future.

Individual paper updates
I would like the ability to 'subscribe' to select papers. What this means is that I will be notified by email or message if my selected papers are updated with new issues, and notified which editions have been added.

Improve resolution of PDFs, or just let us download the original image
The PDFs we get to download now are in some cases completely unreadable because the image resolution is far too low. This is especially disappointing when you save the PDF, and come back to do some work from it later on only to find it's a unusable.
Why can't we download high resolution images instead?

Improve usability and navigation
I tried to give you feedback but the text box for feedback is so tiny I resorted to screenshots in a PDF file to demonstrate.
Although I love the content on this site and am happy to pay for the digitization of new papers, the usability of this site needs improvement.

This is amazing pieces of feedback – thankyou! Some of it is already on our radar, but we will review this with our Product Director and Head of Design and aim to start feeding some of this into the product over the coming year. We really appreciate the time and care you have taken over this.

Include a highlight function for downloads.

Can you give us more information on this? At what point would you highlight something? Would you be wanting to highlight words, paragraphs or individual articles within a page?

The Gloucester Citizen File Needs Correction
Unfortunately the Gloucester Citizen archive contains content errors. The 1896 editions are for a weekly paper based in the eastern counties while 1913-19 contains the weekly London finance sector paper of the same name.

'My Research' list too long to access
I have all my family names as separate folders, but now the list is too long to access - any ideas on how I can get to the end of the list to revisit items I have saved?

Highlighted articles
I'd like to be able to download and/or print a page that highlights articles of interest as they appear on the screen.

Can you give us some more detail here? How would we work out which article were of interest to you, or are you just wanting an easier way to save and print individual articles as you come across them?

Reporting errors to you
An easier way to report errors to you. I've found pages that won't open, the OCR being nearly non existent, the OCR covering a different article on another page, the OCR not opening. When I have reported these errors in the past all I receive back is a standard reply regarding the OCR will have errors and not responding to my specific point.

Too narrow digitised text box when editing.
I'm presently editing text and find the digitised text box on the left a little too narrow. Yo have to scroll across to see the full line. Otherwise excellent.

Academic Citation
The BNA has become an invaluable tool for researchers. I'd like the ability to download a citation of the records in the common formats MLA, Chicago etc.Your database is likely to contain the required information such as source, date, page number and so on. Is there any chance of such a facility being added?
