Let this website be used more widely by those who need it
I am an American student writing a research paper. I would like to include the British perspective so that my paper can have more depth and a more global perspective. I have used this site in the past (when it was still free) and managed to get many excellent articles, and now I feel rather disappointed to find that a paid subscription is required. While I cannot find reason to allocate funds in the hope of getting a few articles, it would be a shame for the British perspective to be left out of my paper and for me to lose valuable primary sources. I understand that this is a commercial service, but I respectfully request that there be some way in which one might bypass the subscription fee (if only temporarily). For example, you could allow a limited number of months or articles for free. You could also provide small grants for people who put in proposals allowing them to wave the fee for research purposes. Frankly, if you are completely unable to consider my suggestions I would also be alright with any special solution you could find for my particular circumstance. Thank you.
Hi,
We’re slightly confused – this website has never been free to access as it is a commercial service. Unfortunately, it is necessary to charge to pay for continued digitisation and operation of the website. Could you be thinking of another resource?
