    The Malvern Gazette and Ledbury Reporter provides an unrivalled historic chronicle of this long established spa town and area famous for its local spring water, the 19th century water cure which drew thousands to the area, and equally rich cultural associations that have drawn to the area so many distinguished writers, composers and artists from the 19th century onwards. The town is also distinguished in its educational and research associations, not least its pioneering research in radar and electronics, which continue into the 21st century. Since the distinguished local historian, Brian Iles, has bound copies of this long established newspaper which he is prepared to make available for the project, the addition of this newspaper - the Malvern Gazette and Ledbury Reporter - must surely be a priority for digitisation by this excellent project.
