The Prescot and Huyton reporter would be a valuable asset to local historians if it were to be digitised and made available online. The Beechams of 'Ewanville' in Huyton were a prominent family in the late 19th and early 20th century and press coverage would have been extensove and interesting. The massive changes to Huyton Village over the years will have also received plenty of coverage. The same applies to Prescot, there must be a wealth of unseen articles and pictures relating to this historic area. Also, consider the railway connection to the area, the Liverpool and Manchester Railway company was the first to rely exclusively on steam power, the first to be signaled, the first to carry mail the first timetabled service!! The articles and pictures relating to this alone will likely generate large numbers of railway enthusiasts eager to explore the archives! Please consider including the Prescot and Huyton Reporter to your already excellent index.
