Shields Weekly News
You have very good (though not complete) coverage of the (NORTH) Shields Daily News (under its changing names) right up to 21 August 1959 when it ceased to be a daily paper. The final edition of the paper in your archive has, handwritten on the top of the front page, 'Last issue of this paper. Continued as Shields Gazette', That is incorrect. The Gazette is a quite different SOUTH Shields paper.
The fact that there was a proprietorial link between the North and South Shields newspapers (owned by Northern Press at the time) might explain the confusion but there is…3 votes -

The Bengal Hurkaru and Chronicle
With a considerable history of publication predating the 1857 mutiny, this newspaper provides a great insight into the happenings in India during the East India Company rule.
The history of railways in India prior to 1853 has largely been forgotten and finds little mention in post-1853 newspapers. This newspaper can be a great source for people looking into researching India's railway history from before 1853.1 vote -
Chorley Weasel
A relative of mine, Edwin Crew, created a small local newspaper called the Chorley Weasel. As far as I know, it only ran during the 1880s but it sounds like it would be a curious title to add to the BNA website, especially for Edwins reports on local campaigns.
As local historian Andrew Alston writes, "Edwin started a newspaper, the “Chorley Weasel, a local political and social journal of current events”.
