I agree that this is very annoying.
I have been doing research using the Hartlepool Mail, which has 1955 missing from a lengthy run. I regularly check to see if it has appeared, but am I wasting my time?
Similarly I do research using the Lancashire Evening Post. Again missing years often cause problems in that I'm not able to read everything in order to get the full story.
It would be good to know if these 'missing years' are lost or if they are eventually going to appear.
