This would be an essential resource for the Facebook group I admin, Wolverhampton Family History. We are a lively group keen to learn more about the history of Wolverhampton and our ancestors through newspaper reports.We have members all around the world who are hoping this can happen. Most of our members do not currently subscribe to BNA as they are waiting for the Express and Star to be added.

Yes please to having the Express and Star on your site. Covering the Black Country, Shropshire and Staffordshire it should have great appeal to your many subscribers worldwide, including those of us still living locally.

Yes I’d really like to see this added Wolverhampton is a large city with an interesting past , the paper used to be run by Trinity Mirror so should be an easy acquisition

I'd really like to see the Express and Star added to to your archive, it's one of my local papers and it would be great to be able to hopefully find my ancestors within the pages.

I think this is a fantastic idea. As a committee member for The Wolverhampton Society, we would be fully behind this as The Wolverhampton Chronicle was taken over by the Express & Star and the collection on the BNA only goes up to 1868. It is a real shame that a city which saw major developments like breaking the land speed record and having the first set of traffic lights has no local publication to source for this period.

Noting the big gap ion the Midlands, it would be very good to add the Express and Star to the archive. An excellent regional paper with a very radical background would be a welcome addition to the archive.
