Following the passing of an Act of Parliament in 1925 all previously unsold tenants in landlords' estates in the new state of Northern Ireland were able to buy their holdings. I am aiming to study this for an MA in History with a focus on one particular estate and the Newry Reporter would have reported on the proceedings as it did for earlier sales under the 1903 Land Act.
