it gives a real insight into the history of Tavistock, a world heritage site . Its just amazing to see how much they reported on, for example, they attended board meetings of committees such as the Sanitation Board and the Workhouse Board - so you get such a rich picture of life in Tavistock

It's part of a World Heritage Site so it's esoecially interesting

Covers not only Tavistock but much of surrounding area including east Cornwall. Also events of national interest -collapse of mining industry and withdrawal of aristocratic influence of the dukes of Bedford

A local but highly useful resource.
