Agreed and more Sheffield and Barnsley papers covering later 20th century dates

It's perhaps greedy to request an extra 13 years of South Yorkshire Times as there are already 71 years worth digitised - eg 1956 to 1961 is available.
It would be great to plug the gap with online issues between 1943 and 1955.

Yes, certainly need the Barnsley Chronicle post 1912, fill in the missing years for the Barnsley Independent, and add the Barnsley Times and Barnsley Telephone

The Sheffield papers barely touched upon our local news these papers would be great for chronicling our past

Could you please include 1955 I cannot find anything for that period especially around November /December that year.
I have been searching to try and find detail of my Mothers death on 5th November 1955 aged 35. I am desoerate for information. She lived at 8 Hatherley Road Swinton Mexborough. If you can help I would be extreemly gatefull

This would be a good paper to add. My uncles death was recorded into the paper in 1929
