You have the Derby Daily Telegraph, but between 1933 and 1990 the town was served (only) by the Derby Evening Telegraph - of which you have no copies - it's a big hole - please fill it!

I became interested in wind and water mills in the early 1970’s and found that, although many other counties had books written on their milling heritage, there was not a single book which described those in Derbyshire . All I could find were various references in newspapers and magazines etc to individual mills and, for example, ‘disused mill’ marked on some maps. This led me to chasing all over the county seeking information on both wind and water powered corn mills and eventually to the publication of the above, which are still the definitive books for the county.

Smashing photos - I have't been back to Derby for years.
Lived in Derby all my schooldays - Becket Junior (Gerard Street) then Parkfield Cedars (1952-1959)
Perhaps, one of these days when we venture south, I might drive around and see how the place has changed
