The start of the demise of the area

My family lived next door to the roskillys in cedar road my great aunt lived at no 42

We lived in cedars road in the tower blocks great times

I remember the school wades in that row of shops

Used to walk under the bridge past the snooker hall? Does anyone remember the name, was it lucky lucianos or something?

My family moved from Jerusalem to Tottenham in 1940s and settled down to a New life ran a bagel shop on high road I’d like to see more

Have great memories of Mayes Road lived at no 105 in the late 1950s early 1960s. 105 Mayes Road was owned by Barratts Sweets,my dad was a lorry driver for Barratts so was able to rent house,when Barratts decided to widen their front gate they demolished houses 105 and 107 to do so. we then moved into another Barratts house around the corner at number 8 Coburg Road. So lucky to have so many great memories of which was a fantastic place to live at that time

I was born in Bialystok in 1931, lived in Lodz in 1934 before immigrating to Tottenham. I am looking for any information about my family and/or their descendants who also moved to north London. My family comes from Lodz as well. I'm named after my grandfather. My father's names is Menachem/Mendel (d.1971). My grandfather's brother, Dov-Ber Berger lives still in Tottenham . I am going to contact him and his family in order to find out more over ancestors of the family

This would be a great aid and a rich resource for many with Jewish ancestors who moved to the north London area in the early 1900s

Such a shock more dates haven’t been made available for our online gallery the Bruce Grove museum holds certain titles and dates but it is hard to find the dates you are after with little indexes this would make life much easier
