The Universe
The Universe, also known as The Catholic Universe, was one of three major Catholic newspapers alongside The Tablet and The Catholic Herald. The archives of the other two publications already exist online in a searchable format, but The Universe only exists in the BL Archives now, and the original publication has since gone out of business so finding archive material from them is now impossible. This would be increasingly useful and important as we approach the anniversary of Catholic Emancipation in 2029, and a possible Papal Visit coinciding with this anniversary.
NB - not to be confused with a similarly-named publication, which has already been digitised and is on this website. The Universe in question only began in 1860, and the publication on here pre-dates that.

I completely agree that The Universe would be a fantastic addition to the archive. It contains a lot of fascinating historical articles and reports that are difficult to access today, and having them digitized would be valuable for researchers, historians, and anyone interested in exploring older publications. Expanding the collection with newspapers like this makes the archive much more useful for people looking into local history, genealogy, and cultural developments. It would be great to see The Universe preserved here so future generations can easily explore its content alongside the many other excellent newspapers already available in the archive.

This sounds like a very worthwhile digitisation project. Making *The Universe* archives searchable online would be valuable for researchers, especially with the Catholic Emancipation anniversary approaching in 2029. It is also important to clarify that this refers to the Catholic newspaper founded in 1860, not the similarly named earlier publication already available online.
