Berwick Advertiser and Berwick Journal
Both these newspapers are mines of info for local and family historians on both sides of the Border.
Phil Rowett commented
The Journal is the more chatty of the two titles and includes lots of local dertail. The early copies of the Advertiser cover a period of great growth in the town.
Berwick newspapers are a mine of information and well-used by researchers. Important resource for Border events and history.
Margaret Steenvoorde commented
I couldn't agree more. The Berwick area is so full of history and the early 19th century newspapers in particular are invaluable resources for family historians connected to that area. M. S.
