Staffordshire Sentinel
I would like to see the existing dates extended into the 1920 at least. My interest is the effect and aftermath of the First World War on the people of the Potteries.
Dear Readers
We are sourcing what we can from the Library’s holdings and have added 1940-1941, 1943-1950 in the last 24 hours.

I am researching my paternal family history and have discovered that my great grandfather , Daniel Johnson, came from Chesterton. He was born around 1957. I would be interested to hear from anyone from the Audley/ Chesterton area who may have more information about the Johnson family

'm trying to track down my grandmother's maiden name and her family. Her husband was Adolphus James Austin who worked at the Jamage colliery in Talke Pits. They were both born 1987 and by 1992 they are recorded as running a chip shop at 120 High Street Talke Pits. Her first name was Harriet and the options I've been given for her maiden name are Hibbert or Hubble - but they could be completely wrong. The only other bit of information I have was we think she grew up in Red Street and that her parents may have in turn run a chip shop or perhaps a pub.
Any help appreciated
