Stoke people deserve this we don’t have a lot here but what we do have is local pride and the paper is brimming with local partisan goodies

There was pictures of my school celebrating the Queens jubilee in the paper was an exciting time to of grown up in the city new dancehalls were popping up
Everywhere famous clubs like the place, the torch, jollies and northern soul discos were common place

Having lived and worked in the Potteries at the Michelin factory headquarters I would like to divulge more into the written press here about what it had to say about the job losses and immediate effects it had , I believe the Reach plc own the paper and having an agreement with them should make it easy to get these all online thanks

Stoke sentinel years 1968-1999 be superb for the area to have much wanted access to these

I would like to see more added for the 1980s period this would cover many great events which took place here during that time including the Garden festival which was much revered and the building of the new shopping centre

The all emcompasssing Sentinel was well written and certainly one of the better regional papers years 1970-80s I would like to see put on thank you

Well run paper which is time served much history is stored amongst its files please restore to its finer self years 1950-1990 would suffice

It would be really useful to have this online in trying to search family events advertised in the paper in the 1960s but no joy as it stops at 1950

So much to explore here, a vibrant diverse region with a pulse for life with its music scene which featured heavily on the northern soul and rave genres

Large industrial often forgotten region left to decay after years of neglect but seeing shoots of recovery be nterested to read all its turbulent past
