Monaghan is there area that my ancestor was born then later came to Victoria Australia. So I am interested in the area in late 1800s

The Northern Standard 1871+ would be an incredible addition to the collection particularly at such a crucial time in Irish History. This newspaper is a core part of my PhD research on Irish and British relations - and see this as culturally helping fill the gap in regards to the current movement in academia to encourage positive British and Irish relations and their perception of their shared history.
