"The Southampton Times" & the "Southampton Daily Echo" & "Southampton Evening Echo" would be excellent please.
I would like to see these newspapers on your website & am sure a lot of other people would too as Southampton was & still is a very busy port.
A brilliant idea. Please add.
This city suffered so much damage during WW2 We need to see the archive to remind us what we've lost

I grew up with the Southern Evening Echo as it was called then.

Looking for war time editions, eg. A double wedding of two sisters and best friend husbands on June 13th, 1942, reported as Spitfire Sweethearts.

Can any one recall a death of Maureen Hampton. Found on Bursledon railway line. Making her way back to Coldeast hospital. This could have taken place many years ago. I Read a story. I worked there for 24yrs but cannot recall the lady. Possibly too far back to remember

I am interested in finding out more about this address in the 1920-30's. Was it a residential home? A business? Both? What was the family name of the people living here? Thank you in advance for any information.
Seeking death and any other information for Alexander Johnson born in Southampton in 1918. His spouse was Charlotte Bellows, born in 1921, and their child Maud Beatrice Johnson, born 1934. Would like any information, but looking for death and parents.
Mynbrother has been regalng me with tales of his mate Anthony (or Tony) Geary born on the Isle of Wight possibly married in 1972 and now believed to be living in Southampton . He first met up with Anthony at the Climax Pub in Coventry around 1964/65. He also used to come to Coventry City (Sky Blues) football matches (travelling by train) and by then he was friends with all of them including Alan, Pat, Roger and Duncan.
Malc would be really pleased to hear from Tony or existing relatives.
I'm stuck and need some suggestion about where I might look next.
I'm looking for the graves of Daisy Elizabeth Painter 1883 or 1884 southampton - ? 20s (age) I believe and Frank Painter oct, nov, dec 1907 In shirley warren infirmary - ? died as a child both are said to have died in Shirley Warren Infirmary southampton.
I've been to the local archives,(they think the records I want have been disrtoyed during WW2)the local libraries I've trawled the Mica films . BMDfree ,Newspaper archives. I've emailed the local churchs and contacted the Hants burial records office.I've applied for a birth cert that might be Franks,I eagerly await that. I just can't think where else to look.I can't find a record of a burial site for that infirmary.I found a line stating someone had the contract for the burials but it does not name them. The funeral directors destroy their records after 7yrs so nothing their.
Pulling my hair our and refusing to give up. They are the last piece of the puzzle.
