These newspapers frequently contain information that is useful for both the academic historian and those interested in family history as they trace regimental movements and provide information about promotions, courts-martial, etc.

Military newspapers like The Broad Arrow and United Services Gazette are great for tracing regimental movements and family history. Similarly, having a strong and lasting foundation matters today. I understand that the British Library holds a number of different service organisations magazines and periodicals for the Great War period. If these are the sort of things that contain genealogical and military history then they would be an interesting asset to those endeavouring to piece together information for the centenary commemorations of 1914-1918.
