Bootle is a very old borough with a rich history. It's now absorbed into other areas but previously had its own police force, hospital and mayor.

Whilst Bootle is a comparatively small town, it does have a great history, particularly in connection with the second world war and world trade. The Bootle Times was central in the recording of the town's development, and would be a fantastic resource if digitised.

The Bootle Times had many photos of people in the area. A lot were of Children on Auntie Margaret’s page. I sent a photo into that page which has been lost ,I would LOVE to see that again .
