Bootle has played such a strategic role in the country’s wartime events - would be wonderful to be able to read about it

The voice of Bootle for as long as anyone can remember.

The Bootle times is a local newspaper, obviously, but the area it covers saw many, many things, from being host to one of the Lumiere Brothers' first films, to being one of the most heavily bombed towns in the UK during WW2 up to the horribly memorable murder of Jamie Bulger.
Bootle may be a relatively small place in the grand scheme of things, but it certainly has a big back story.

Bootle Times reports are a key to its local history, and by extension neighbouring Liverpool and it's pivotal role in British history. Its addition to the Archive would be out of all proportion to Bootle's size as a town.
