Would be great to access this newspaper, purely selfish of course, but with the older generation sinking fast we are in danger of losing our connection with local history

It would help so many people, especially those of us who live overseas. I makes no sense to have that gap.

This is a very frustrating gap, locally, when attempting to do research.

Please add the Halesworth Times. Halesworth sits in Waveney which is an economically deprived part of Suffolk. It only has a volunteer run museum and so is short on the many resources needed to engage with the public that the larger well funded museums have access to. By digitising the Halesworth Times it would be a great resource to help the town enabling volunteers to access its early history which would otherwise be unavailable or unaccessible locally.

My father owned the Halsworth Times for many years and was the editor during World War 2 while "Monty" Mr G W Montague was serving in the Royal Air Force

This was such an important newspaper, locally. Covering a wide rural area of Suffolk: an area quite away from any large towns or cities. And so anything that can be done to make it more accessible can only be a good thing with regard to revealing its stories from history.
