Allow name search for names ending in 's' without it being assumed to be plural
There needs to be some mechanism to allow names that end in 's' to be searched without it being assumed it is the plural of that word. I have been searching for 'Lunds', a place in Yorkshire, but it always includes the word 'Lund' even with quotation marks. Allowing a search for names ending in 's' would dramatically reduce the number of results and speed up a search.

I agree with this idea. Additionally, this can be solved using "Regular Expression" (regex) technology, which is free.
I explain more in my suggestion on this site at https://help-and-advice.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/forums/243749-website-improvements/suggestions/38737225-allow-searches-to-be-specified-using-regular-expr -

Similar problem here.
I've just shifted my votes from this one to the request for "Exact search" to actually mean... "Exact search", as that's the same problem writ large.
