    Boosting this and added my votes. What the BNA have up now for this paper is invaluable and I would love later editions to be added to have greater access to the social history from the towns at the time.

    Unfortunately the Airdrie and Coatbridge Advertiser's own files are limited as historical back copies were burned in a fire while in storage.

    This archives of this newspaper are a treasure trove of of events that happened within the Lanarkshire area covered by this publication. At the end of the 19th century and into the 20th century many migrants moved from Ireland to this area of Scotland and to many, like myself, this paper holds a pivotal place in uncovering the story of our ancestors in their bid for a new life.
