    This archives of this newspaper are a treasure trove of of events that happened within the Lanarkshire area covered by this publication. At the end of the 19th century and into the 20th century many migrants moved from Ireland to this area of Scotland and to many, like myself, this paper holds a pivotal place in uncovering the story of our ancestors in their bid for a new life.
