What a good thing this would be to have all this local history to hand! Please digitise!

This would be wonderful for my family ancestry research. I am from Hinckley and so are my ancestors going back hundreds of years but I live in New Zealand now so can not access the original records. Digitisation would mean the preservation of this publication for generations to come

This is a must to enable the historical local news to be sourced by local people

For centuries Hinckley was a significant market town, it is rather down on its luck now but archiving its local paper could provide inspiration and confidence for its future.

Would be lovely to look back.

It is imperative to keep copies of past newspapers of the area.

We need it

As a local facebook group HDPP (Hinckley District Past & Present) we have been campaigning to have this done now that plans to remove the archive out of town now the paper does not have an office in the town.

Many of my ancestors are from the Hinckley area with a long history of involvement in sporting, industry, photos and letter writing to this newspaper, it would be a fantastic resource to be online to the many who are interested in their own family history but also the history of the development of our town and outlying villages, please get this digitised
