I am looking for a friend of mine from NZ, named Colleen Field. She is a school teacher, used to live on Feild End Rd, London, and is very interested in geology. At one time she lived and taught in Hammersmith. If anyone knows her could you either forward her contact information to me or forward my e-mail address to her. Thank you so much for your help and cooperation

Would anybody on this message board be willing to go to a house at 65 Westwick Gardens and take a picture so that I can see the house I grew up in? This house is between Rockley Road and I believe Sinclair Road and runs perpendicular to Netherwood Road. I would be grateful to anyone who would do this for me and email me the picture. I lived there as a little girl and would love to see what it looks like

I was born in 1946 and went to Worple Road School until leaving to live in Windsor in 1957. I remember playing around the alleys where I lived in St Margarets with friends Malcolm, Robert, Paul and others. Life was good Then

My grandfather (who I never met unfortunately) was a schoolmaster at the Old Blue School in Isleworth in 1907-1916 and then again from 1919-1922. I would be very interested to see any photos from that time or to read of any special events at the school back then

Hello, I was hoping someone might be able to help me, my Grandad George Cox owned and ran the Butchers on South Street (4 the Pavement) and my two grandfather's before him. I sadly missed out on all this as he had sold it and retired when I was only 3. If anyone has any memories of the shop or stories I would love to hear them? And it would help me with my family history. My Dad (John Cox) grew up at 9 Worple road and went to Smallberry green in the 60's. Many Thanks

Does anyone remember a Confectionery Shop at 692 Fulham Road - now home to Monty's Tandoori? Any information or memories regarding William and Florence Scott who owned / worked there in the 1950's would be very much appreciated.

My 3x great-grandfather, Frederick Joseph Blackford, says on all census returns in Foleshill, Warwickshire, that he was born in Hammersmith. Indeed, I have found his parish baptism record in All Saints, Fulham Palace road in June 1813, son of William and Sarah. Because of his widely differing reported age on the census returns I am assuming he was born around 1901. Unfortunately I can find no other siblings, or the marriage of the parents. Does anyone know anything about this Blackford family? A William Blackford married a Sarah in 1928 across the bridge in Putney, but I cannot prove that these are mine. A William and Sarah Blackford had a family around this time in Wimbledon, but no Fredericks there. Any help much appreciated!

I am working on our family history and would like to find (if exists) a document that indicates a place of birth for a Margaret Danner. Margaret is the daughter of my Great-great-great Grandfather, James Cummings. I have found a 1920 Census Record that shows she was living with her son, James Danner & family in Chelsea. A place of birth is noted on this document but is not readable on FamilySearch.com or MyHeritage.com. She passed in 1975 and is buried in Hayes next to her husband, Samuel Danner. They were married in Wandsworth in 1949. Do you have a death record of her there in VChelsea or can you read the place of birth on the 1930 Census record ? Family letters indicate she was born in Hammersmith . 'Someone' has modified her Find A Grave bio with a birth location of Scotland. However, I have asked and so far no one can confirm with documentation that she was born in Scotland. Her father, James Cummings, is per family letters, to have also been born in Hammersmith abt. 1923. We have hit a wall with him also because apparently there were no birth records recorded during that time period. We can find no death record for him where he passed in Chelsea. Thank you in advance for any information. Regards, Nancy Minter

Chelsea News 1919-1984 I am interested in making contact with any descendants or relatives of Leofric. I would like to find out if he was the Naval Officer aboard HMS Dragon in the Baltic in 1919 when my GreatGrandfather and 8 other men (and boys) were killed in action. According to the ship's log Leofric was "dangerously wounded". I'd love to find out more as the story of what happened fascinates me. Also memorial events take place every year in Riga, Latvia and an exhibition is planned. I would like any family of those who had been involved to be aware that these men have not been forgotten. Leofric's birth was registered in Chelsea.
