Also the Hertfordshire Express (under its various name variations) and Herts Pictorial are 2 other key Herts local papers.
1900-1920s saw the development of Letchworth & welwyn Garden Cities post ww2 Stevenage was a new town so these periods are important to the study of town planning. -

Yes, I would like to see more editions of the Hrts Merc. Because there has been so little, I have not gone onto Brit. Newspaper Archives that much.
