Interested in hearing from anyone researching: Robert Lewis an oil and colour merchant living at 296 Newport Road, Roath, Cardiff in 1904, but born in Bitton, Bristol in 1854 approx.In 1911 found on census living at 306 Newport Road (aged 57 b. 1954) as a Decorator & Merchant, with wife Elizabeth (56 b. 1955), children Bessie Adeline Lewis (29), Matthew Lewis (21) a clerk at fathers business, Robert Theodore Lewis (21) a shopman, Archibald George Lewis (16) a book keeper, Augustus Reginald Lewis (13) at school & Ethel Mary Perkins (18) their servant. Class: RG14; Piece: 32087; Schedule Number: 43. Family have close associations with Williams family in S. Wales and Bristol - of whom I'm a descendant.

Anyone remember Top Rank or Smiley's, the Rank in Queen Street, where you could see five punk bands for three quid! Seditionaries or Paradise Garage, the only place to shop for clothes. Coffee in the 'posh' Howells cafe?Does Anyone remember the early eighties and the tenement Punksters who used to congregate in Queen Street on satuday afternoons. My fathers name was Angus Samuel Jackson Johnson,my cousen was named after my Dad if this means anything to you please let me know.
