Now published as "The Forester" covering the whole of the Forest of Dean (Gloucestershire), but previously individual papers for each of the Forest / Severnside towns (Lydney, Coleford and Cinderford).

At the moment, whilst researching the Forest of Dean on the BNA, we have to hope that stories were covered by papers in South Wales or Gloucester.

How about including the local Forest of Dean Newspapers in your collection. Microfiche for the Dean Forest Guardian, Dean Forest Mercury and Lydney Observer are held at Cinderford Library in Gloucestershire and are a mine of very useful local information which remains largely untapped.
