Thanks for your feedback. We’d love to add more content from the 1960s through to the 1990s, and we know these years are of great interest to many of our users.

Unlike older newspapers, more recent material is often still protected by copyright. This means we can only digitise and publish it where we have agreements in place with the relevant publishers and rightsholders. Securing these agreements takes time and is not always straightforward.

That said, we have significantly more content from this period available today than we did even a few years ago, and we continue to work with publishers to expand our coverage of modern newspapers wherever possible.

Alongside this, we are also committed to filling gaps in earlier historical coverage, as many researchers, family historians and local history groups rely on these collections. Our aim is to continue growing the archive across all periods, from the earliest newspapers through to the most recent material we are able to licence and publish.
