    Kimberley was a rapidly expanding community in the late Victorian period with 2 new railway s, an expanding lace trade along with a very active coal mining and 2 competing breweries. There was also major house building and 2 new schools to accommodate the expanding community.

    A vibrant industrial history in this area, brewing, mining, textile and lace manufacturing as well as farming and railways.
