When I attempted to read the Scottish Referee at the Mitchell Library in the 1990s, I ended up leaving with a massive migraine due to the poor quality! Hopefully there are some copies in better condition that can be scanned than the ones that I endured!

To know where you are going it's good to know where you have come from

This would be an invaluable and important addition to to the sporting archives.

I think that all Sporting papers should be added to the BN archive. I also agree with Ian Nannestad comments that we must have a Scottish football paper.

The main 19th century English sporting papers are now appearing on the site. Its time to include sporting papers from Scotland as well.

Scottish Referee. This sports publication ran from 1888-1914 and is an invaluable reference for sports historians.
