All my ancestors come from the Cleckheaton/Gomersal area where this has been the major newspaper for many decades.

These local papers are from the Spen Valley

THIS PAPER HAS A GOOD FOLLOWING AND GOES BACK TO THE MIDDLE OF THE 1800S -

This would make a brilliant addition to your site. I have over 870 members of a Spen Valley family and local history page online who would be overjoyed at it's inclusion

it would be wonderful as these are not provided by Kirklees libraries

Please add this...it would mean a lot as we have great difficulty trying to access these records as they aren't available locally.

please add this wonderful resource not a lot or folk can get out to the local library and the local office of this paper only hold a couple of older editions this would be widely used by a lot people - We did after all have the Brontes in our area

An area which grew immensely was well covered by this publication.
