Though I can view the microfilm in Cirencester Library, this does not give me the possibility of searching a digital file as I can for so many other newspapers. Continuing the series would save me a huge amount of time

It would be good to advance the archive so the volume of publications moves on from 1911. I have found the early editions invaluable and would love to be able to access more recent copies.

I'd like to find more history of Chesterton area of Cirencester and Highfield House & Cottage in particular using newspaper research from the 1800's. A digitised index would be really helpful.

For many years the Wilts and Gloucs Standard has been the only source of information for Cirencester and the surrounding area. It is vitally important that the archive is widely accessible.

This local paper has been at the core of community life for such a long time and is a fascinating archive. Digitised editions would be so useful for local history studies in schools.
