Nottingham Review
This is an important regional newspaper in the period 1811-1817, the period of the Luddite uprisings, and it's inclusion on this website before the bicentenary ends is vital! It's proprietor, Charles Sutton, was convicted of libelling the Crown in 1816 & jailed.

I would support this. The Nottingham Review started in 1808 and would be a really useful newspaper for researchers looking at this turbulent era. There are no Nottingham newspapers digitised prior to 1811, a situation which needs correcting as a matter of urgency.

Please add the Nottingham Review from its inception in 1808 onwards. It is useful for researchers its radical stance, its attitude to Luddism and as an organ promoting democratic reform and an end to the Napoleonic wars.

Please add copies for 1826 as I'm trying to trace reports of an inquest that took place that year.
It is particularly frustrating that copies for 1826 are missing whereas those for 1825, 1827,1828,1829 are present. -

Is it possible to get an update on progress? The Luddite bicentenary year ends in early 1817, and still no newspapers for this period!

A courageous newspaper known for libelling the Crown must be seen

As we are in the anniverary period, I feel interest will grow. We also face a coming automation of many work roles, so again the history of Luddism will be in the minds of researchers and the public.
