Salopian Telegraph
A short lived and scurrilous scandal sheet that targeted all classes of Shropshire inhabitants
Jim, many thanks for your suggestion. We too think that this would be a superb addition to the archive. We have added it to our digitisation plan.
Best wishes,

This quote might explain it's short life: "Soft Tommy Jones, the tailor, of New-street, went into the Telegraph office, Wellington, on Saturday morning, and was greatly rejoiced (he said) to find that the Telegraph was broken up – printing press and all. – Tommy, mind your wife, and your own business. – The Telegraph will last a little longer than you will." Sorry I forgot to record the date of the comment.

It would be interesting to know why this publication was short lived. I consider it would be well worthy of inclusion in the archive.
