    Newark herald has been mentioned in a couple of places I have been reserching and you mention good WW1 coverage which is very useful to me and i am sure, many others.

    Yes I agree, and Newark area not well covered by Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire papers.

    Newark Advertiser or Herald,as for a small town, Newark on Trent seems to get its fair share of news and publicity. The Advertiser has been published since 1874 and although the Herald is no longer, it contained a lot more information about local people in WW1
