Transmission slipping in Sharjah any good workshops near Industrial Area?
I'm hoping someone here can give me some solid advice because I'm getting really worried about my car and I don't know where to turn. I've got a 2015 Toyota Camry that's been absolutely bulletproof for years, but over the last couple of weeks, I've noticed the transmission starting to slip when I accelerate from a stop. It's not happening all the time, maybe once or twice a day, but when it does, the revs shoot up and the car hesitates before it finally catches and moves forward. It's honestly a bit scary, especially when I'm pulling out into traffic. I took it to a local garage near my house in Al Majaz, and the mechanic there told me it could be low fluid, a failing torque converter, or even internal wear. He didn't seem too confident though, and he quoted me a huge price for a rebuild without even doing a proper diagnostic. I'm not convinced he actually knows what he's talking about. I've been reading online about transmission issues and it seems like there are a few shops in the Industrial Area that specialize in gearbox repairs, but it's hard to know which ones are actually good and which ones just claim to be specialists. I found a website, https://gearboxrepairsharjah.ae, that lists various transmission services and seems to cover a lot of different brands, but I'd rather hear from someone who's actually used a workshop in Sharjah and can vouch for their work. I'm looking for a place that will properly diagnose the issue, check the fluid level, scan for error codes, and give me an honest assessment of what's actually wrong, rather than just jumping to a rebuild. Has anyone here had a transmission issue sorted in Sharjah and found a shop that's genuinely reliable and fair with their pricing? I really don't want to spend a fortune on a rebuild if it's something simple like a fluid top-up or a solenoid issue. Any recommendations would be massively appreciated. Thanks for reading.
