Ability to flag scan quality issues with some pages and get them rectified.
Good idea – we will add this into the list

I also am frustrated at the poor readable quality of some printed downloads. The quality of the original scan seems important. With the speed of modern improvements there must surely be high resolution scanners that give top quality reproduction. This is our history after all.

the quality of recent scans to this website have been atrocious and not really worth looking at and a waste of membership

It is very frustrating to be able to read a page on the site, and then end up with a poor quality download that is difficult to read on screen, and impossible to read when printed.

I'm having his problem too, and it's particularly frustrating that the on-screen image is fine, but it's the downloaded version that is illegible.
This suggests to me that there is a problem with how you do the rendering to pdf. -

Would be really good to see some progress on this, some pages are totally unreadable and the OCR can't manage either. Maybe a graded system whereby one can rate a page as perfect, ok, could be better and 'a complete blur'?

Any update on this issue?
Quality of some scans is appalling, Western Mail 1918 for instance, barely readable, glad I haven't signed up for a years subscription. -

In recent months, the quality of downloaded pages of the Manchester Courier has become so bad in some cases that they are unreadable. Please can you do anything about this?
