Add a button 'Report image problem'
It appears only the first column has been scanned on https://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/viewer/bl/0002677/17980801/003/0002 - but how can I report it (and all the other problems I come across).

Please reply to your subscribers requests for help via your Customer Support service
My subscription no longer works although I am paid up until May 2021 and no one has replied to several requests over the past month to be reinstated. Could someone please contact me. Many thanks Sophie Matthiesson National Gallery of Victoria

I was automatically re-subscribed to this Archive, though I didn't ask for it. Please get rid of the auto-renewal function
Get rid of the auto-renewal subscription feature. I've already paid a lot more than I signed up for.

Pin newspapers to specific people
I had an idea, what if you could pin pages to people, like say you want to filter articles about a less known specific person, not on the level of like presidents, but say criminals or war heroes, etc. if you could tag that person and the system would give them a unique indexing number and profile that users could link pages to, add descriptions to, etc. kind of like how Ancestry links documents to profiles of specific people.

Ability to sort bookmarked articles
It would improve this site immeasurably if it were possible to sort bookmarked articles by date of publication (or source) once they have been saved into a folder.
At present there is no way of organising articles once they have been bookmarked, except by moving them between folders. This makes any sort of chronological research incredibly difficult. It would not be difficult to introduce a 'sort by' field in the bookmarks page, given that the date metadata already exists.

Same areas being appointed tiresome
Widen your current areas for example why not add more of Yorkshire, East Anglia, East Midlands or South Wales and the South West it seems to be you high prioritise only certain areas like Middlesex, Ireland, West Midlands,Somerset and the South East!!!

Make it easy to see other editions of the same paper, from the search result you are reading
Quite often a story will be reported most thoroughly in a particular paper. So when I'm reading (say) Tuesday's edition (via the search), I can scroll between different pages for Tuesday, but it's not possible to easily see Monday or Wednesday's edition. I have to come right back out and browse through the newspapers, browse through the years, browse through the months, browse through the days! It's surely unnecessary? That would be a great improvement.

This site Flatters to decieve
Promises wide scale coverage yet only delivers on Ireland or London papers past 1950s threshold. We need a compromise and add more papers like the Bolton News, Sheffield Star, Stoke Sentinel , Portsmouth News, Norwich News to broaden the spectrum!!

Stop adding every Irish and Middlesex titles
For the last six months these two areas have dominated the proceedings give Yorkshire papers more airtime very frustrating

Repetitive Middlesex/South East monopoly
Could we please now start to branch out into other regions sadly lacking the same concerted efforts as the South East, it’s very disheartening to see all your attentions dedicated to solely this area.

Old English grammatical question
Not an idea, really. If a person edits a column from the 18th century and is confronted with f instead of s, should we use f, or the up to date s.
e.g. Douglafs. I would like to confidently change the f' because it would accidently reduce the search field left in it's old English type, what do you think?2 votes -
Is it your mission to obtain every Middlesex and Irish title
Please assist other areas to improve our knowledge and studying capabilities you seem stuck on Middlesx and zIrelans and have been for some time, what about Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield, Cardiff, Hull, Stoke, Bristol, Bradford ,Nottingham, Oxford, Ipswich, Portsmouth or Leicester ?? All continually overlooked in favour of such mundane regions !! Get it sorted

Ability to correct article sections, eg split, exclude, merge
When editing, I often find the selected "article" in fact includes multiple unconnected texts on the page. If I am going to help edit as I go anyway, I would rather I could fix this by eg, marking a line as being the end of an article, or not in the article at all when the selected texts are not related? Similarly, the ability to add by marking as part of the article when not currently selected. The thee common situations I see are: selected text continues past end of actual article (a split feature would help here); select text…

Why do most of the searches just come back as a lot of gobbledegook? I want to subscribe but am not sure after seeing this!
