    I so relied on this newspaper for the background to my family research in Sittingbourne, Milton Regis and Faversham and was devastated when it closed down a couple of years ago. It was full of fascinating local detail and stories. All I can do now is to order the odd copy through the British Library, which entails a further visit to the Reading Room in London. I would be delighted if you would include The Gazette in the collection, so that I could continue with the story I am writing about my great-grandfather, Capt. Vincent John Berry, who went down with his ship in 1876.
