I can only reiterate what the previous commentators have said, this is a major conurbation encompassing the vital Chatham Dockyard. The level of cover smacks of tokenism (1860-64; 1870; 1889; 1891; 1901; 1939; 1948; 1950; 1951; 1971). Both world wars omitted, how many obituaries must there be that would be invaluable to family history research? Yet BNA seems obsessed by low circulation publications that are likely to be of interest to few if any researchers.
It is now 7 years since the first comment, high time this publication was dealt with properly and comprehensively.
