    In the 1960's a lady called Mrs Orme, set up The Hillsiders Youth Club which met every Friday in the W.I.Hall in Lebanon Gardens. It got a lot of support from the local youth and also from those of Westerham. This lovely lady also organised a carnival, whose Queen was picked from the members. Sadly Mrs Orme left the area and the Biggin Hill Social Club became the venue. I believe one David Bowie played in a group at a Youth Club dance in his teens.
