I’m looking for Shooters Hill Cemetery, London. I've been told that it's definitely in the Greenwich area or near here. I can't find it anywhere on maps. Please reply using this guestbook with the details of where this cemetery is. Thank You

I first heard the sound of the first meeting at Brooklands from my home in Mawney Road, Romford, so I went along to the second match (Crewe I recall) and was instantly hooked.

During 1970 I was unable to resist any longer and purchased an old Jap Speedway Bike and I got training at Rye House. Romford being quite strong I opted for Boston for 1971 season and rode for them for 1 ½ seasons but I found it difficult financially to combine speedway and running a small motor body repair workshop in Crow Lane, Romford which I still run.

I had a few highlights 12 points at home against Romford, Eastbourne and Hull plus 9 in an open meeting at Brooklands. I rode three meetings for West Ham Bombers when they were a rider short.
A short career but thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Living in Hornchurch and really miss standing on the first bend every Thursday and from the letters, it’s good to see Romford Speedway so fondly remembered

I am researching an accident than happened on the zebra crossing close to the junction of Hampden Road and Colney Hatch Lane in November 1954. Can any one help me in pinpointing where the zebra crossing was exactly located at that time, and where the bus stop for buses towards Muswell Hill Broadway (where buses waited while the crew changes took place) Thank you. Thank you
