The Ross Gazette [Ross-on-Wye]
Disappointed to discover that The Ross Gazette doesn't cover many years. Full coverage for WW2 period would be interesting, e.g. for mass arrival in September of Birmingham evacuation schoolchildren and their teachers awaiting distribution to nearby villages, with their subsequent lives, e.g. at Aston Ingham, How Caple, etc. See Ross Gazette 7 September 1939, 'Evacuees Received in Ross'.

Newry Reporter 1920-1929
Following the passing of an Act of Parliament in 1925 all previously unsold tenants in landlords' estates in the new state of Northern Ireland were able to buy their holdings. I am aiming to study this for an MA in History with a focus on one particular estate and the Newry Reporter would have reported on the proceedings as it did for earlier sales under the 1903 Land Act. The pages from that period are already on the BNA site.

Manchester Weekly Times
I'd love to see the weekly version of the Manchester Times added, particularly in the 1870s and 1880s, as I think it's interesting to study regional syndication of serialization of Victorian novels, which happened around this time.

The Oban Times
While accessing newspapers online for historical research is advantageous, there are disadvantages. Not all years for the Oban Times newspapers have been digitised. Its reportage provides insight into the influences effecting change as Oban developed during the 1870s. From a genealogical point, The Oban Times’ 1879 coverage of the Police Court (accessed 2013) and social commentary offer insights into the social problems and law and order policies affecting the lives of second and third generation ancestors. Looking at newspapers for the 1880s would provide an opportunity to observe continuities and changes to social and economic life in Oban, and on…
