Garston & Woolton Reporter - The Great War Years 1914-1920
The Garston & Woolton Reporter 1888-1920 is on the microfiche tapes at Liverpool Central Library. They may contain biographical accounts of fallen Soldiers with their photos. It would be a huge help to Great War researchers.

The Cornishman 1960-1990
The Cornishman 1960-1990.
There's good representation prior to 1960 and some (but not all) after 1990 but a gap of thirty years from 1960 to 1990 that covers a lot of peoples lives who are still here and finally have to time to look back at old articles or have an interest in genealogy etc.
West Cornwall's location often makes for interesting headlines regarding activities (often unfortunately disasters) at sea. There are a number of noteworthy ones, the oil tanker the Torrey Canyon for example (1967), the tragic Union Star and the loss of the Penlee Lifeboat with all hands,…

Problems with Manchester Evening News
I have been trying to read the copies of the MEN for mid-November 1961 that you have placed on your site - in particular the births and deaths columns - but unfortunately parts of these have been very poorly scanned and are impossible to read. Can anything be done about this?

I would love to see issues of the Craven Herald (first published in 1853). It is an important Yorkshire newspaper.

Carluke and Lanark Gazette (1960)
Carluke and Lanark Gazette - 1960. The reason I ask, is that my great grandmother, was very involved in Carluke, and I'm expecting there to be a significant obituary. You have the years up to 1959, and then from 1980 onwards. Just need 1960

Buxton Herald
You have recently added the Buxton Advertiser and mention it merged with the Buxton Herald in 1952. I was wondering whether you would be adding the Buxton Herald (if you have copies). My father worked on the Herald in, I think, 1943 just before he went into the Navy. I would love to see what was happening in Buxton back then.

London Daily Chronicle 1900-1910
You have already published some pages from the London Daily Chronicle but the missing decade at the turn of the 20th century would be most useful. Many thanks

Liverpool Football Echo - The Great War Years 1914-18
The Liverpool Football Echo appears as a separate Saturday Edition following the normal Echo Edition on the microfiche tapes at Liverpool Central Library. They contain, in detail, biographical accounts of fallen Soldiers with their photos. It is sometimes hard to read on the overhead projectors and if digitised would be a huge help to Great War researchers.
