More newspapers from the Greater London area
At the moment, there are not a lot of newspapers from the Greater London area. We should add more.

What a brilliant idea.Stories and news from my childhood. Also some photos that would be in there of events that my sisters and friends took part in.

Apart from the deficiency in this area (plus Surrey & Middlesex), there is virtually nothing from 1945 onwards. History did not end with the War!

As all my research and family were in London post 1822 I really require MORE London titles the local newspapers are difficult to search on microfilm as there is no index etc

I'd like to see the The Stratford Express make an appearance. As it covers the West Ham area it has always covered a very densely populated area of East London.

it would be great too see as lot of papers from the east london area and covering my favourite football club thats west ham united. would be great too collect reports from the days when they were in the southern league and then eventually elected into the football league back in 1919.

Most of the "London" scans are for National or Specialist publications with next to nothing for the london boroughs, please have a look at this!!!

In terms of pages per square mile, Greater London does score highly. However, in terms of pages per head of population, less so. There are also a number of pseudo-national publications originating in London which obscure the low number of truly local / regional titles.

Not a lot? Really?? By your own counts it has more pages scanned than almost every region. It certainly has the highest density (pages per sq. mile) being the smallest region of them all with the possible exception of Fife. I'm not arguing that London isn't important, but coverage is currently pretty good in comparison to most counties. Case in point my suggestion for Shropshire where you've scanned just 384 pages.
