Good suggestion. We will investigate how hard this will be to do.

Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately we need an agreement with the copyright holder to digitise this. We are trying to negotiate this but be aware that it might take some time.
We hope to extend this title to include more recent material in the future. An error occurred while saving the comment Stuart Morgan commentedCoverage extending at least to the end of 1919 of the Westmorland Gazette is very top of my wish list. There is a lot I expect to find relating to the War years.
Going beyond this, to the second world war era would be even better.

We will take a look a the feasibility of this – it is quite an Engineering challenge but we already have some pilot projects underway that may help with this.

We have been making some background changes to the database to support this and will shortly start developing a solution.

An error occurred while saving the comment Stuart Morgan commentedThey've added several years of the Westmorland Gazette too. I'd really like to see the 1900-1944 period added for that paper.

An error occurred while saving the comment Stuart Morgan commentedNot a lot? Really?? By your own counts it has more pages scanned than almost every region. It certainly has the highest density (pages per sq. mile) being the smallest region of them all with the possible exception of Fife. I'm not arguing that London isn't important, but coverage is currently pretty good in comparison to most counties. Case in point my suggestion for Shropshire where you've scanned just 384 pages.
